Buffered organic acids, medium-chain fatty acids and surfactants for bacterial control in raw materials and feed.

Composition & Approach

A liquid formulation combining buffered organic acids, medium-chain fatty acids and surfactants. The acids and MCFAs provide complementary antimicrobial activity, while the surfactants help the formulation spread across raw-material and feed particles.

Feed preservation

Designed to support control of contamination and recontamination by gram-negative bacteria, including Salmonella and E. coli, alongside yeasts and moulds. Medium-chain fatty acids support penetration of microbial cell walls and the activity of the other ingredients. Components remain in the feed to help provide continuing protection through the feed chain.

Organic acids, medium-chain fatty acids and surfactants on a silica carrier for feed and raw-material hygiene.

Formic acid and ammonium formate, propionic acid, caprylic acid (C8), capric acid (C10) and surfactant (E484) on a silica carrier. This dry formulation combines complementary antimicrobial ingredients with straightforward mixing into raw materials and feed.

Feed preservation

Designed to support control of gram-negative bacteria such as Salmonella and E. coli, as well as yeasts and moulds. Surfactants help distribute the blend across feed particles, while the MCFAs support penetration of microbial cell walls. Ingredients remain in the feed to help protect against recontamination, without requiring liquid dosing equipment.

A dry organic-acid blend for inhibiting mould growth and preserving raw materials and complete feed.

Feed preservation

Designed to inhibit mould growth, reduce aerobic spoilage and prolong feed stability. Surfactant supports dispersion across feed particles. The dry, free-flowing blend is suitable for dry mixing and moisture-optimisation applications without liquid dosing equipment.

A blend of propionic and formic acids with their ammonium salts, complemented by sorbic, benzoic, lactic and citric acids and surfactant (E484) on a silica carrier. Developed for total mixed rations, the formulation combines rapid acidification with longer-lasting preservation under challenging microbial conditions.

Ration preservation

Once a TMR is mixed and exposed to air, yeasts, moulds and bacteria can drive spoilage and heating. TMRGuard-D targets this stage of the feeding process, helping retain the freshness and stability of the open ration, including under high contamination pressure. Its dry, free-flowing form is suited to mixing into the ration or top-dressing.

06 · Liquid blend · TMR preservation

A concentrated liquid formulation for preserving total mixed rations and helping limit spoilage and heating of open rations.

Ammonium propionate, propionic acid and formic acid, complemented by sorbic, benzoic, lactic and citric acids and surfactant (E484) in a water-based formulation. The blend combines rapid acidification with the longer-lasting action of ammonium propionate, while the complementary acids broaden preservation support.

Ration preservation

Designed to help control spoilage by bacteria, yeasts and moulds in total mixed rations, including under high microbial pressure. The concentrated liquid formulation helps slow aerobic deterioration and heating after the ration is mixed and exposed to air, supporting a longer period of freshness and stability of the open TMR.
